Born Zachry Jones in Kingston, Jamaica, the singer, songwriter, and genre-blending artist seamlessly fuses rap, reggae, dancehall, and R&B into a style that is uniquely his own. Growing up, he was inspired by the storytelling of Biggie, the charisma of Shaggy, the lyricism of Jay-Z, and the soul of Maxwell—elements that continue to shape his sound today.

Zac made his first public splash at 14 with a remix of Drake’s Digital Girl, followed by a string of SoundCloud releases, including Love Docta with Runkus. While attending USC, he found himself at the heart of the college music scene, collaborating with rapper Felly on Ridin’ Thru Kingston (2016), which featured Everytime You Go—a track that caught the attention of Apple Beats1’s Ebro Darden and premiered on AllDef Music.

A career-threatening throat injury nearly derailed his momentum, but Zac fought back, emerging stronger with a new mission: to build something bigger than himself. Inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of Nipsey Hussle and Jay-Z, he launched his independent label, $tony Official. His comeback began with NOSTALJAH (Open Di Garage) in 2019, followed by the breakout hit Miss Jamaica (2020) featuring Agent Sasco and produced by Iotosh. He continued his streak with fan-favorite Lonely and the 4/20 anthem The Weed Song. His latest release, Treasure Beach, is gaining traction internationally.

With a sound he describes as "Reggae with heavy Rap influences," Zac Jone$ is part of the new wave pushing Jamaican music forward, standing alongside artists like Protoje, Tessellated, and Projexx. More than just an entertainer, he sees music as a tool for healing—using his artistry to uplift and inspire listeners worldwide.
